Chorin Privacy Policy

Chorin is a household chores app. This page explains what information we collect and how you can have it deleted.
Information we collect
- Account information — your email address and the display name you choose.
- Household data — the households you create or join, the chores in them, and a record of who completed which chore and when.
- Notification settings — if you turn on reminders, a push-notification token, your time zone, and your chosen reminder times.
- Basic usage data — general app activity (like signing in or completing a chore), used to understand usage and fix bugs. This is automatically deleted after 180 days.
We do not access your device's location, camera, photos, contacts, or microphone.
How we use it
Solely to operate the app — running its features, sending the reminders you've turned on, and keeping the service secure and working. We do not use your information for advertising or build profiles about you.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information or share it with advertisers or data brokers. A small number of infrastructure providers (cloud hosting and push-notification delivery) process data on our behalf, solely to run the service. Chore and completion history is visible to other members of your household, since that's the point of the app.
How long we keep it, and deleting it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Delete account in the app — this is immediate and permanent. You can also reach us at support@getchorin.com with any question about your data.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
Children's privacy
Chorin is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
